The Health Establishment of the Druze Community is a private, non-profit organization that aims at providing the best possible care to the elderly in need of long term care. The Lebanese Ministry of Health covers a certain portion of the cost of care, while other expenses are covered by families and friends of the hospital.
We strongly encourage you to be a friend of the elderly care center, to support the mission of the center which is to offer the best possible medical, nursing and psycho-social care to these elders in need, as well as to the educational mission of the center which aims at teaching geriatrics and gerontology to various kinds of health care students (medical students, nursing students, etc.). You can donate to the center directly (supporting its general mission or a specific activity that may be of interest to you). In addition, you can adopt an elderly resident and support him/her through personal contact and visits as well as through emotional and financial support. Several supporters do so through volunteer activities as outlined under the volunteer section below.
