Continuous development is one of the aims of the Geriatric Medical Center. This is partially accomplished through staff development and continuous education. Due to this mission, the Health Establishment of the Druze Community established joint agreements with various international and national centers aimed at exchanging experiences and training in medical and non-medical fields. An example of these agreements is that established with Broca Hospital, a geriatric specialty hospital in France. Since 2004, medical as well as paramedical staff exchange visits between the two centers and undergo continuous training. Even architectural plans for the new geriatric medical center took into account the expertise of French consultants.

In the same spirit, additional agreements are ongoing with the Internal Medicine Department in order to train residents and interns in Internal Medicine in the field of Geriatrics.

Similar collaborative activities are in effect with Family Medicine Department at the American University Hospital. In addition, Students from the Nursing and Social Work departments of the Lebanese University also submit to training at the center.
